Giulia Sala has a PhD in Veterinary and Animal Science from the University of Milan. During her doctoral research project, she studied the correlation between Inadequate Transfer of Passive Immunity and Neonatal Calf Diarrhea from a diagnostic, prognostic, and treatment perspective.
During her doctoral program, she had the opportunity to collaborate with the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vétérinaire, Faculté de Médecine Vétérinaire, Université de Montréal. Her research focused on strategies to improve diagnostic methods for bovine medicine, particularly neonatal diseases. Additionally, her research topics included improving immunity in calves and evaluating strategies to reduce antibiotic use.
Currently, Dr. Giulia Sala has a postdoctoral position at the University of Pisa, where she continues her research in bovine internal medicine.
