Quantification of drug use and evaluation of antibiotic resistance in microorganism isolated from milk and environmental in conventional and organic farms. (DM 352 of 9.04.2022).

The aim of the project is quantification of drug utilization and evaluation of antibiotic resistance in microorganisms isolated from milk and environment in conventional and organic farms.
Determine impact of antibiotic use and management practices on the prevalence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs)-producing- E. coli and -Klebsiella spp. in dairy farms.
A metagenomic DNA sequencing based study on effect  of antibiotic use and management practices on microbial resistance and resistome profiles in dairy farms
The research will involve secondments to IBBA/CNR lab IN Lodi under the supervision of  Dr. Paola Cremonesi and Dr. Bianca Castiglioni.

2017-2019: MSc in Veterinary Medicine, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh.
Master thesis: Investigation of subclinical mastitis and characterization of its causal agents in dairy cows.
2011-2016: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), CVASU.

Work and research experiences
2020-present: Assistant Professor at Department of Medicine and Public Health in the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Bangladesh.
2018-2020: Lecturer at Department of Medicine and Public Health in the Faculty of Animal Science and veterinary Medicine, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Bangladesh.
2022: Three months visiting scholar in Department of Farm Animal Health of Utrecht University (the Netherlands) to work on WSG of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from bovine mastitis.
2017-2018: Research Assistantship in Udder Health Bangladesh.
2017: Mastitis Diagnostics Training at National Veterinary Institute (Sweden).

2019: Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Award (GRMF).
2015: Best Clinical Award for excellent performance at Teaching Veterinary Hospital, CVASU
Research interest: Infectious diseases of dairy cows, IMI, AMR and Udder health.
